About the DAI Library
The library is the historic centerpiece of the German-American Institute in Heidelberg. Since it’s opening in 1946, it has been a place of intellectual exchange, education and literary enthusiasm.
Our library’s collection includes the classics as well as newer publications, books for children and young adults, national and international newspapers and magazines along with DVDs and audiobooks. As a space for inspiration and creative development, it offers an attractive, diverse program of events for all ages and invites you to soak up the atmosphere with its cosy coffee corner.
As an official EducationUSA Advising Center, we are supported by the US State Department in providing information and advice on internships and education in the US, college applications and visa requests.
