Youth Education Series (YES) – NEW
“Shaping Future Leaders Today!”
YES offers unique quality educational opportunities to high school students (Grades 9th -12th ) who are interested in gaining knowledge and developing skills for their future personal growth and career, and to make positive contributions to society.
The goal of YES is to provide students up-to-date information and knowledge, effective problem-solving strategies and insights into relevant subject matter beyond the classroom. Students are engaged in active project-based learning to develop leadership and other crucial skills: creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, negotiation, resilience, and global citizenship. The language of the program is English. YES consists of five programs.
Young Leaders Certification Program (Award program)
This 15-week program in small study groups provides a well-rounded educational experience, combining lectures given by experts and industry leaders, interactive guided course activities, and project-based learning. Students will study subjects that are interdisciplinary, relevant to the contemporary and future life and work. They develop strong leadership, problem solving, and decision-making skills. The program combines lectures, direct instruction, classes, and coursework. We implement a micro-nation-based simulation, which allows students to engage and explore future adulthood and their own possibilities in a safe, yet challenging way. Award winners will be nominated to the annual Global Young Leader Conference in Washington D.C. and Participation in EU-Youth Dialogue and EU Youth Conferences

Age: Group 1: 11th-12th grade; Group 2: 9th-10th grade

Program Structure
- 6 Lectures and Q&A (1.5 hour/lecture)
Topics are carefully selected to address relevant world issues.
Speakers include renowned experts in academia (university professors), media, government, legal, journalism, science and business. - 8 Guided interactive learning and project sessions (1.5 hour)
Brainstorm, discussions, readings, instruction and coursework, create individual and group writing, interviews, debating, presentations, TED-Talk type projects led by experienced teachers, graduate or postgraduate students, assistant professors in related professional fields.
End of program presentation, awards, and celebration (3 hours) – project report, award and certification ceremony, and family reception evening event.

Youth Future Cities Series (lectures and final project)

Fee: 450,- € (420,- € for early bird registration)
- 4 Lectures and Q&A (1.5 hour/lecture) on future sustainable cities, including city planning, energy, architecture, designs, transportation, nature habitat for flora and fauna, waste management. Lecturers include renowned experts in academia (university professors), media, government, energy, science and technology, business.

Youth Future Society Series
Length of the program: 10 weeks
Date and time: Fridays 7 – 8:30, from January 31
Capacity: min. 8 students, max. 16 students per group
Age: Group: grade 9th-12th

- 4 Lectures and Q&A (1.5 hour/lecture) on building future societies and international community, cover topics in social systems, education, international relations, diplomacy, humanity, health care, and global impacts. Lecturers include renowned experts in academia (university professors), media, government, research, legal, journalism, social sciences, business, etc.
- 5 sessions (1.5 hour/session) coursework and project-based learning
- Final project presentation and reception(3 hours)
Young Leaders Forum (Annual Conference)
DAI will roll out and organize our first Young Leaders conference in 2025/2026. The previous participants in the YES program will be automatically enrolled in a two-day Young Leaders Forum in Heidelberg. We plan to connect with and invite young leaders of national and international youth organizations to Heidelberg, celebrate global youth collaboration and network. The potential forum partner is Global Young Leaders Conference (GYLC) | Envision
Youth Study Trip and Exchange Program
Study trips and exchange Programs are offering encompassing experiences, that broaden students minds beyond the academic realm. It deepens the cultural understanding and strengthens their personal as well as academic growth. We accompany students in with expanding skills like critical thinking, to enable them to face challenges of the globalized world. To list some of the benefits of the Program:
