Think big. Be creative. Take the stage.

Science on Stage

A project by DAI Heidelberg & Professor Veli Vural Uslu
Supported by Tschira Foundation

What if science themes weren’t just limited to textbooks – but took to the stage?
What if you were the one explaining the universe, climate change, or chemistry through music, movement, or storytelling?
Science on Stage is a 6-month talent program and competition for young creatives who want to perform, experiment, and communicate science in new and exciting ways.
If you love science and love being creative – this is for you.

What Is Science on Stage?
Science on Stage invites
students aged 14+ from Heidelberg and the surrounding region to transform scientific ideas into performances. Whether you rap, dance, act, write, film, or invent something entirely new – this is your chance to show how science can come alive on stage.
You’ll apply with a short video audition, pitching your idea for a creative science performance. No limits, no fixed formats – just your imagination. This is more than a competition – it’s a chance to build confidence, sharpen your communication skills, and stand out by combining science with creativity -no prior stage experience required.

Why You Should Apply

  • Be one of 15 selected students
  • Join an exclusive 4-month talent program
  • Get professional coaching in performance & science communication
  • Develop your idea from concept to stage-ready performance
  • Perform live at the final Science on Stage event at the DAI Heidelberg in july

Language & Format
The program is conducted primarily in
English, the global language of science – helping you build confidence communicating your ideas internationally. (Future editions will expand towards a more bilingual format.)
