Over the past decade or so, this unique combination of literature and performance, known as Poetry Slam, has been welcomed onto the stages of numerous culture houses and clubs and has stolen the hearts of many an audience.

Authors are given five minutes to present their texts before the audience is given the chance to vote. The authors are given free reign; choosing the form and content of their texts themselves. The result? Every Poetry Slam is an exciting and unique event where nothing can be predicted.

We’re looking forward, not only to explosive words, fireworks of emotion and top-quality entertainment, but to meaningful messages, pointed criticisms and witty humour. WORD UP!
