World literature is full of wonderful episodes in which humor shows all its skills. Sometimes it is also in stories that are anything but funny, but told with a lot of humor. Ulrike Mielke reads some parade pieces and comments on them pragmatically, obliquely or pointedly.
The lecturer Dr. Ulrike Mielke studied Romance languages and literature and philosophy. The Varieties of Humor (2022) is her third book from a virtual literature circle she founded at the beginning of the first Lockdown 2020.
