Gérard Pansanel had long dreamed of a trio with its own original repertoire – somewhere between jazz, electro, folk and pop. The energetic compositions are reminiscent of the three musicians’ musical roots and sparkle with the joy of playing.
They will be joined by Arild Andersen, one of the most renowned double bass players on the international jazz scene (ECM, Jan Garbarek, Pat Metheny), and drummer Patrice Héral, a long-time companion of Pansanel and much sought-after musician on the European jazz scene.
The program developed especially for this project combines new pieces by Pansanel and his colleagues with the improvisational class of three strong personalities – some of whom are already well known from previous performances in Heidelberg.
