Too different for power?

Equal rights in politics are stagnating – also in public perception. There is often a lack of visible role models of successful women and their political skills. Why are female politicians portrayed differently in the media than men and how do they portray themselves? The book Too different for power? (2025) explores these questions. In this anthology, elected officials and committed women analyze challenges and possible solutions. Editor Tannaz Falaknaz from EAF Berlin presents the most important experiences and results.

Tannaz Falaknaz is an expert in politics, administration and diversity at EAF. She is deputy leader of the SPD parliamentary group in Berlin-Pankow.

Eileen O’Sullivan is a city councillor and head of the Department for Citizens, Digital and International Affairs in Frankfurt am Main and has been politically active at Volt since 2018.
