  • Unlocking Potential: Young Women in Science and Society
  • In dialogue

How can we specifically promote the talents and future visions of young women in science and society? Cancer researcher and women’s rights activist Sitara Brooj Akbar will talk about this with local leaders, committed individuals and interested parties from Heidelberg. Heidelberg Equal Opportunities Officer Sandra Arendarczyk will also be taking part. After an opening speech by Mayor Stefanie Jansen, Evein Obulor (Managing Director of the European Coalition of Cities against Racism) will moderate the evening.

Sitara Brooj Akbar is a cancer researcher at the University of Oxford and works at Genomics England/NHS England. She was already speaking on public stages and television at the age of five. Today she is an award-winning scientist, multiple world record holder and women’s rights activist.

Admission is free.
