Twenty years have passed since Stefan and Theresa bump into each other by chance in Hamburg. In their student days, they were like family to each other, but today there is hardly anything left in common. Stefan is trying to combat climate change through committed journalistic projects at his newspaper. Theresa is facing challenges with her organic dairy farm that are pushing her to the limit.

Time and again, they get into heated exchanges over polarizing issues such as climate policy, gender language and accusations of racism. Is everyone really forced to choose a side today? Or is there still common ground between the worlds? And can friendship and love bridge the gap?

Simon Urban, born in 1975, is a writer, copywriter and journalist. He has received numerous literary prizes and creative awards for his work. He wrote the epistolary novel Zwischen Welten (2023) together with the successful author Juli Zeh.
