SEDAA

The Mongolian-Persian band SEDAA (Farsi for “voice”) combines traditional Mongolian music with oriental harmonies and rhythms.

Vibrant undertone singing and throat singing merge with the wistful sounds of the horse-head fiddle and pulsating drum rhythms to create a mystical tapestry of sound – an acoustic journey along the Silk Road that immerses listeners in an extraordinary world between the Orient and the Mongolian steppe. The basis of their modern compositions are nature sounds and many songs are of course about love, but more often about horses!
