Scenic writing with Christian Schönfelder

  • Literature, Program for children, Workshop

A creative crash course in the world of fairy tales, myths and legends – the old ones, but also the ones of today and even those we don’t even know yet. What mythical stories are needed to understand our world?
Writing, painting, and playing, the students encounter heroines from the past, such as Odysseus. Or they invent new ones that help them find their way in the world.

Primarily for 4th to 6th grades, maximum 4 hours including breaks.

Christian Schönfelder has been dramaturg at the Junges Ensemble Stuttgart since 2006. Before that, he was dramaturg at zwinger3 in Heidelberg and Schnawwl in Mannheim, among others.

Schönfelder writes for children’s theater: His play “Mein Bruder, der Räuber Kneißl” was on the shortlist for the German Children’s Theater Prize 2014. His most recent world premiere was “Artus!” at the Open Air Festival in Altusried. For “Bergkristall” based on Adalbert Stifter, he was awarded the Dutch-German Children’s and Youth Dramatist Prize. He is also a lecturer at the Stuttgart Drama School.
