Samsara (Sanskrit for “continuous wandering”) refers to the incessantly spinning wheel of life, the eternal cycle of origin and decay.

The film takes the audience on a journey through dreamlike landscapes to Buddhist monks, Balinese dancers, behind prison walls and to holy places. Birth and death, tradition and modernity, faith and hope, struggle and forgiveness – the camera illustrates the contrasts and tensions that determine our existence today.
