Parametrisches Design mit OpenSCAD

We are going to learn the basics of OpenSCAD, a CAD software to create 3D designs by writing text.
It features a textual description language to construct complex objects by manipulation of basic geometries.
Even though being able to think like a programmer or mathematician will help, no programming skills are required.

The software allows to create parametric designs, which makes it possible to create several similar objects, for example with varying dimensions.
Customizable parts on Thingiverse, like the nut and bolt generator <http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:193647/> are built with OpenSCAD.
We will design a basic parametric part and show how to upload it to Thingiverse Customizer.

Participants should bring their own laptop computers.
