With a sound reminiscent of acoustic piano trios of the 50s and 60s, Oùat explores the idea of a jazz standard song format of today. Oùat continues to celebrate the sound and dynamics of collective, focused creativity that makes the most of an idea, a shared place and a shared time. Oùat – the name stands for “Once upon a time” – can be heard as storytelling, a trilogical conversation that immediately finds the sonic meanings of what, where and when. How this is possible is another question. Just listen.
