Our library is far more than shelves lined with books—it is a place of exchange, of community, and of ideas that spark and inspire. With the #Kulturistmehr campaign, Heidelberg’s cultural institutions are standing together in response to the growing challenges posed by the city council’s recent budget cuts.
In that spirit, we warmly invite you to an Open House at the DAI Library to celebrate the value of shared cultural spaces.
Craving something new to read, but running out of shelf space? Visit our Book Swap! Bring up to five of your well-loved English-language books in good condition and receive the same number of tokens in return. Exchange them for fresh stories waiting to be discovered—whether fiction, non-fiction, or children’s literature: all genres are welcome!
Fresh stories are also awaiting your children during our beloved Toddler Time where the youngest book lovers get to hear and enjoy new adventures together.
Take advantage of our rich and varied program supporting the #Kulturistmehr campaign – designed to bring people together and celebrate creativity in storytelling, conversation, crafting, and much more.
