Globalisation and digitalisation bring with them upheavals that massively affect the education system and schools. This change opens up opportunities, but also causes fears and resistance. Schools must be redesigned to become sustainable: How will teaching and learning change? What will the school of the future look like? What opportunities, but also threats, are emerging?

The results of the survey of leading experts and insights from a large number of future workshops with schools and educational institutions lead here to seven elementary trends.

This workshop offers the opportunity to discuss and work on individual trends in depth.

Anyone who wants to know what the schools of the future will be facing, what opportunities and risks are emerging and which coping strategies are promising will receive theory-based and practical impulses here.

Olaf-Axel Burow is Professor of General Education at the University of Kassel and is involved in creativity and future research, personnel, school and organisational development and participation design.

The workshop runs until 13:00.
