Noam Chomsky

  • Corona and Beyond

The corona crisis today forces us to make drastic changes in perspective – but what possible worlds are facing us, what are even conceivable?
Noam Chomsky, born in 1928 and one of the leading intellectuals of our day, is himself an eyewitness, astute analyst and interpreter of the global upheavals of the 20th and 21st centuries, of shifts in global power and economic relations, value systems and human living conditions.

Even as the global crisis surrounding Covid-19 continues, we venture to look together with him at possible scenarios for the future: How do the ghosts released by the Corona crisis work? In what light do peacekeeping measures, the threat of nuclear war and climate change appear? What possible scenarios are the result of 90 years of life experience and the lifelong vigilant observation and scientific treatment of world history?
