No peace without feminism?
- How global crises must be solved
- Kristina Lunz
- Lecture
Old, white, Western men still dominate politics and the theory and practice of international relations. As a result, the needs of women and minorities are permanently ignored. The world is full of wars, crises and injustice. The Center for Feminist Foreign Policy wants to change that, and instead of power play and the military, focuses on mediation in peace negotiations, feminist power analysis, and climate justice. Can this finally replace the antagonism between nations so that everyone can live in greater security and with fewer conflicts?
Kristina Lunz has worked for the UN in Myanmar, an NGO in Colombia, and is co-founder of the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy in Berlin. She is a political scientist, activist and author of The Future of Foreign Policy is Feminist (2022).
Introduction: Stefanie Jansen, Mayor for Social Affairs, Education, Family and Equal Opportunities and Dr. Marie-Luise Löffler, Equal Opportunities Officer.
