Unfortunately, the event has to be cancelled. We will try to find a make-up date in 2021, which we will communicate here in time.

Our diet influences countless processes in the body – including in the brain, because its function is closely interconnected with metabolic processes. At the same time, decisions about our diet are made in the brain. These connections raise fascinating questions: How does nutrition shape our decisions and behavior? Why do we decide for or against a certain diet or a certain product? Can the insights gained be used to influence decisions and consumer behavior in ways that promote health?

Soyoung Q Park, professor at the German Institute of Human Nutrition Potsdam-Rehbrücke (DIfE) and Charité Berlin, heads the newly created Department of Neuroscience of Decision and Nutrition. She was a fellow at the Berlin School of Mind and Brain at Humboldt University, was responsible for neuroeconomic research projects at the University of Zurich, and headed the Social Psychology and Neuroscience of Decision Unit at the Institute of Psychology at the University of Lübeck.
