Myth Education

  • Aladdin El-Mafaalani

Aladin El-Mafaalani analyses the paradoxical effects of the education system, its dynamics and inertia from different perspectives: a plea to bring social inequality in education into the focus of educational policy and practice, and at the same time a rejection of visions and revolutions. What is important and realistic now?

Aladin EI-Mafaalani, born in 1978, is Professor of Educational Science and holds the Chair of Education in the Migration Society at the University of Osnabrück. After studying political science, economics and labour science, he completed his doctorate in sociology. He also worked as a teacher at the Berufskolleg Ahlen, as a professor of political science at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster and as a department head in the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry for Children, Family, Refugees and Integration in Düsseldorf.
