Musical Sunday

  • Bach, Brandenburg Concertos
  • Marcus Imbsweiler & Timo Jouko Herrmann
  • Concert, Literature

Talking about music is an art. The response to the Beethoven Evening with Timo Jouko Herrmann and Marcus Imbsweiler at the DAI in December 2019 was so positive that there is now a sequel in 2020. In loose succession, the two classical works selected on Sunday morning will be presented – knowledgeable, entertaining and (almost) without specialist vocabulary. The prelude is a matinee on Johann Sebastian Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos.

With Herrmann and Imbsweiler, two enthusiasts who have found their own unique linguistic approach to music have their say. Timo Jouko Herrmann is composer, conductor and violinist in the Ensemble Operino. The writer Marcus Imbsweiler has published novels and stories about composers from Haydn to Shostakovich.
