Conspiracy myths are enjoying renewed popularity in times of corona crises. Finally, the aim is to identify the reasons and causes of the crisis and possibly find culprits. Can corona be coincidence? Do we really have to consider the complex and differentiated answers of virologists and scientists or can we look for quick explanations and culprits? Has Covid-19 escaped from a laboratory after all? Those who believe in conspiracy myths leave little doubt.
Dr. Michael Blume publishes and blogs as a religious scholar on topics from religion and politics. Since 2003 he has been working at the Ministry of State of Baden-Württemberg, was appointed State Commissioner against Anti-Semitism in 2018 and has been running the podcast Conspiracy Issues since March 2020.
