Is a life determined before birth? Are our personalities and behaviours a result of our genes? Is there a criminal-gene?

This documentary film accompanies Lone Frank, a well-known Danish journalist, author and neurobiologist, as she sheds light, with the help of her gene map, on her own genetic self and her family history, characterised by a difficult parent-child relationship and bouts of illness. To improve her ability to build relationships with others, Frank would like to fundamentally change her behaviours. She thus seeks the help of renowned genetic scientists and undergoes a number of tests and investigations in order to gain insight into her own genetic make-up.
