The “Environmental Research Initiative” pursues a special research approach that aims to develop concrete solutions to urgent environmental problems by combining extraordinary ideas with scientific and technological expertise.
Prof. Matthias W. Hentze is Director of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Professor of Molecular Medicine at the University of Heidelberg, author of numerous publications and textbooks, and member of various national and international scientific societies.
