This evening, the British author and translator Tim Parks will read from his latest works.
Parks, born in 1954 in Manchester, is an author, translator and non-fiction writer. He has lived in Italy since 1981, where he lectures in Literary Translation at the University of Milan. Amongst other works, Parks has personally translated the novels of Alberto Moravia, Robert Calasso and Italo Calvino. He has written numerous essays for the New York Review of Books and is recognised as an expert on European intellectual history.
Tim Parks is an, “intern” of the project, Wissenschaft als Religion? Thus far, the project, funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation, has made it possible for ten international authors to complete, “internships” at academic institutions in Heidelberg.
