As every year, the emeritus philosophy professor and scholar Kurt Flasch traditionally closes the International Science Festival – Geist Heidelberg on its anniversary.
Die Welt once described him as “Germany’s most brilliant historian of philosophy”, the Süddeutsche Zeitung as “Germany’s most urbane philosophical writer”. He is regarded as one of the last German philosophers with interdisciplinary charisma.
Kurt Flasch inspires his audience with spirit and originality, with wit and passion. His topics range from the story of creation to Boccaccio, Dante, and Voltaire, to criticism of Christianity.
