The human brain serves as a model on the basis of which physicists develop new computer systems. Our brains are more than capable of out-smarting classic computer software.
In his lecture, Karlheinz Meier explains the advantages of neuromorphic systems and how such systems might be developed.
The aim of Meier’s research into classic complex systems is the development and implementation of electrical model systems which shall serve to improve our understanding of how information is processed in the brain and how this might inform medical diagnoses.
Professor Karlheinz Meier has taught Experimental Physics in the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Heidelberg since 1992.
