- Volker Engelberth Quintet
The quintet is the latest project of pianist Volker Engelberth (current CD: Prismatic Colours). Influenced by modern European jazz as well as classical or folkloristic music, the pieces played are characterized by strong melodies based on a complex harmonic and rhythmic framework. Constant interaction and sensitive interplay are characteristic of this ensemble, which has matured into an exciting unit during numerous concerts at home and abroad.
