Pause, discover and set off into a world of wonder and creation: how can we find our way out of rigidity in the face of environmental crises and create a sustainable community together? “Im Netz des Lebens” is an immersive journey of theater, dance, film and active participation that connects head, heart and hands.

An international ensemble accompanies the audience through the process: powerful performances and short films provide artistic impulses, while creative exercises open up the space for imagination and dialog. There is no traditional audience – we embark on a journey at eye level.

“I am interested in the connection to our own nature, to each other and to our environment.” – Isabella Freilinger (director). The event is inspired by the “dialog process” of environmental philosopher Joanna Macy. This encourages people to engage with ecological issues in a personal, emotional and action-oriented way. After all, nature is not just what surrounds us – we are part of it ourselves.

The afternoon will culminate in a lively exchange over tea and snacks with short impulses from projects in Heidelberg that are already shaping sustainable communities today.
