Western mainstream reporting on China takes no notice of Chinese super-planning (Moulüe). Thus, one often talks about the Thucydides Trap without addressing Chinese thought patterns. Insofar as one wants to anticipate Western behavior, that works. But if one ignores Chinese thought patterns, one does the math without the host.

In his lecture, Prof. Harro von Senger outlines the supra-planning ignored in the West, whose ultimate goal is victory without war.

Von Senger is a Swiss lawyer and professor emeritus of sinology at the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, as well as an expert on Chinese law.
