What exactly do the smart devices in our homes record? Is autonomous driving the future? And what are the real chances of finding a partner for life in online dating? In his book Klick (2021), world-renowned psychologist and risk researcher Gerd Gigerenzer uses many concrete examples to describe how we can correctly assess the opportunities and risks of the digital world for our lives and protect ourselves from the temptations of social media. In short, how we can acquire digital competence and make smart decisions online.
Prof. Dr. Gerd Gigerenzer is director emeritus at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin (Department of Adaptive Behavior and Cognition) and director of the Harding Center for Risk Competence at the University of Potsdam. His popular science books have received wide acclaim and are international bestsellers. The Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute named Gigerenzer one of the 100 most influential thinkers in the world.
