Television – On good Form?
The reformation of broadcast licencing fees has pushed the income of public television producers into the millions. A blanket household fee should guarantee the quality of service provided by public television channels. But what do each of these channels actually offer? We’re asking the question as to what exactly makes for, “good television”. Should the contribution of each household be considered a tax? Does the extra money automatically mean better channels? What does each generation think of television? What is the role of new online media providers? Is democratic participation a viable option?
