During the Corona pandemic, the infamous ivory tower of science became a beacon of public reason for many. Politics and society relied on judgments of experts, scientists, and facts developed under crisis conditions. Is the division of labor between science and politics under scrutiny? How does crisis management succeed scientifically? What are the dangers posed by pseudo-science, fake news and attention-seeking? Is science getting the crisis?
