Dark feelings?

Feelings, emotions, empathy – positive terms and qualities that make a person approachable. However, the foundations of friendships and relationships can be manipulated to exert power and control. Dynamics of discipline and control are also often found in groups.
So are destructive and toxic mechanisms in two-person relationships transferable? How can we better understand our “dark” feelings? And what current insights do psychopathology, forensics, and communication science provide?
