body police, healthy food and farting

  • Medical puppet comedy with Sibylle Mottl-Link
  • Program for children

The body can make quite strange noises, and there’s all sorts going on there too. The pediatrician Sibylle Mottl-Link is on the road with stethoscope and bird and explains what happens in the body when eating and after eating. She is helped by the hand puppets “Intestinal Bacterium”, “Body Policewoman” and “Insulted Liverwurst”.

“They say things that people would at best think but never say,” the doctor explains. That, she says, is the privilege of her stage companions: “They’re allowed to do that.”

Sibylle Mottl-Link has worked as a doctor in cardiac surgery, cardiac research, pediatrics, in the health department and in emergency medicine. Since 2011, the “doctor with the talking hand” has been involved in health education, including medical reading puppet theater events, and since 2017 there has also been a program for teens and adults. Her most popular books include Frau Doktor hat einen Vogel and In meinem Körper ist was los. She travels throughout Germany with her performances.
