Bilgin Ayata Sun, 12th July 2020, 5:00 pm The border as crisis, the crisis as border Europe's handling of refugees during the Corona pandemic How does the corona pandemic affect the ongoing debate on how to deal with flight and migration in Europe? One of the most important arguments for the implementation of corona measures was solidarity and vulnerability, appealing to the sense of community of the population. But what does this appeal mean for people on the run? Where are the limits of the crisis, and when will the crisis become a limit? This question will be examined in the light of the political and civil society responses to the situation of the more than 40 000 refugees on the Greek islands during the pandemic.
