The purpose of this initiative is to encourage people to read more books! For this year we have chosen the classic American novel The Great Gatsby by Scott Fitzgerald. Participants are invited to delve into the fascinating world of America during the roaring 1920?s portrayed by Fitzgerald, and then to join our Great Gatsby Discussion Group to share their thoughts and opinions on this classic novel.

The DAI-Library will host two events:

? Saturday, November 15th at 6PM:
Scott Fitzgerald and His Time
A Lecture by Dr. Steven Bloom,
former lecturer of the University of Heidelberg English Department

? Thursday, November 20th at 7 PM:
The Great Gatsby Discussion Group

The participation fee of ?5 includes entry to the book discussion as well as a free copy of The Great Gatsby, an audio-CD and a Reader?s Guide.
Participants of DAI events are also welcome to attend events at the the Patrick Henry Village Library and the European Regional Library.
