Initiated by the ?National Endowment for the Arts?, the Library of the German-American Institute together with the Patrick Henry Village Library and European Regional Library will host a series of cultural events.

The purpose of this initiative is to encourage people to read more books! For this year we have chosen the classic American novel The Great Gatsby by Scott Fitzgerald. Participants are invited to delve into the fascinating world of America during the roaring 1920?s portrayed by Fitzgerald, and then to join our Great Gatsby Discussion Group to share their thoughts and opinions on this classic novel.

The DAI-Library will host two events:

The first one is a lecture by Dr. Steven Bloom, Lecturer of the English Department of University of Heidelberg.

The second event is the Great Catsby Discussion Group, which will take place on Thursday, November 20th. at 7 PM.
