BÄRs Songwriter Showcase

  • Live Audience Recording Session
  • Concert

A musical form made popular primarily by Bob Dylan: The singer/songwriter tradition is an important part of U.S. cultural history, focusing not only on music but also on lyrics, literature and poetry.

The event will be led by the Heidelberg pop artist BÄR, the founder of the “Songwriting Circle” in Heidelberg, an open international group of local songwriters that anyone and everyone who makes music can join.

Together with BÄR, the DAI Library invites various songwriters/bands from the Heidelberg region to present their music to the audience in sets of 30 minutes each. At the same time, a live recording of the concerts will be made on a cassette recorder from the 1970s.

With:

Lone Aires
The 25-year-old indie-alternative newcomer, who grew up with and around music is slowly making a name for himself in the music world. Growing up listening to rock and grunge music, Lone Aires went from being a member of a fledgling band with his brother to writing, composing and producing his own music in a self-built studio in a small town garage. His music contains a euphoria that leaves the listener(s) with an overwhelming and exhilarating listening experience. It ranges from soulful and dreamy love ballads to danceable alt-pop about heartbreak, loss of self, being alone and trying to find one’s way in the world. While the singer plays all the instruments in his songs himself, he performs them on stage with his closest friends. Their live performances are energetic and make for a danceable, yet emotional and unforgettable concert experience.

Adam Evald
Adam Evald is a chamber pop composer from Sweden. With honesty and wit, he writes mellifluous songs with a hopeful dose of melancholy. He’s been around the world three times, giving more than 500 concerts in 45 countries. With two albums released, and one in the making, he visits us for a unique one night only.
