Aleksander Kwasniewski will outline the possible scenarios of political development in Poland and Europe as well as strategies for EU to weather the storms. Former President will talk on the importance of open civil societies in the attempt to prevent authoritarian and nationalistic inclinations. President Kwasniewski will explore the needs to promote pro-democratic and pro-european thinking.

The two-hour formula will include an address from Mr. Kwasniewski followed by a panel discussion and the Q&A with the audience.

Aleksander Kwaśniewski is a Polish politician and journalist. He served as the President of Poland from 1995 to 2005. During his term Poland successfully finalized its membership in the European Union and NATO.
