35th Heidelberg Piano Week

Ruishi Zheng was born in Beijing in 2000 and currently lives in Hanover. She gave her first solo concert at the age of eleven. Since then, she has performed in numerous solo and chamber concerts on renowned stages around the world, including in China, Germany, Italy, Austria, France and the USA. Ruishi has received numerous awards, including 1st Prize at the Hong Kong Asia-Pacific Piano Competition, 1st Prize at the Palma d’Oro International Piano Competition, 1st Prize and Absolute Prize at the Villafranca International Piano Competition and 3rd Prize at the International MozArte Piano Competition in Aachen.

She has been studying at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media since 2016 and is currently completing her solo class studies. She is taught by the renowned professors Christopher Oakden and Andrea Bonatta.

At the DAI, Ruishi Zheng will perform works by Domenico Scarlatti, Enrique Granados, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ferruccio Busoni, Robert Schumann and Nikolai Kapustin.
