Gabriel Yeo was born in Münster in 1998 and has been playing the piano since the age of four. He received his first lessons from Annette Strootmann (Münster), then from the piano pedagogue Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling until his death in 2012 at the Musikhochschule Hannover. After studying with Vassilia Efstathiadou, Prof. Matti Raekallio and Prof. Jan Jiracek von Arnim in Hanover and Vienna, he has continued his studies in Hanover with Prof. Bernd Goetzke since 2016.

Yeo celebrated his first successes at “Jugend musiziert.” He has been awarded numerous prizes in international competitions and has already given concerts at the Berlin Konzerthaus, the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, the Braunschweig Staatstheater, the Düsseldorf Tonhalle and the Cologne Philharmonie, among others.
Numerous master classes with renowned piano teachers such as Peter Feuchtwanger, Robert Levin, Dae-Jin Kim or Arie Vardi in Germany, Italy, Korea, the Netherlands and Austria complete the young musician’s education.

Gabriel Yeo is a scholarship holder of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the Cordes Foundation.
At the DAI he plays works by Prokofiev, Brahms, Ravel and Chopin.
