Born in 1994 in Taipei, Taiwan, Shan-Chi Hsu began playing the piano at the age of five. From 2007 to 2013 she studied with Prof. Rolf-Peter Wille. Since 2013, she has been studying with Prof. Bernd Goetzke at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and is currently continuing her studies in the solo performance class.

Shan-Chi Hsu has participated in master classes given by prominent artists such as Sir András Schiff, Menahem Pressler and Robert Levin and has been praised for her sensitive and mature interpretation and distinct performance style.

She has won prizes at many national and international competitions, including 1st prize at the National Music Competition in Taiwan, the Special Prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Taiwan, and 1st prize at the Yamaha Piano Competition.

At the DAI Shan-Chi Hsu plays works by Beethoven, Schumann and Ravel.
