Ádám Balogh began playing the piano at the age of seven. After graduating from the School for Exceptional Young Talents at the Liszt Academy in Budapest, he began his studies in 2016 with Attila Némethy and Márta Gulyás.

He made his orchestral debut in 2010 at the age of 13 with the Budapest Festival Orchestra conducted by Ivan Fischer. Since then he has performed with renowned orchestras at home and abroad.

He is a prizewinner of the first Cliburn International Junior Piano Competition (2015), the Hague International Piano Competition (2015) and the International Chopin Piano Competition in Budapest (2014, 2010).

Balogh attended master classes with Dimitri Bashirov, Zoltán Kocsis, Roger Muraro, Tamás Vásáry and many others. He is currently studying with Arie Vardi in Hannover on an Erasmus scholarship.

At the DAI he will perform selected works by Beethoven.
