Interns (f/m/d) at the DAI Library
Internship Opportunity (m/f/d) at the DAI Library
The German-American Institute (DAI) Heidelberg is a non-profit cultural institution that provides information on social, political, and cultural developments on both sides of the Atlantic. Our work includes lectures, seminars, concerts, films, exhibitions, and a wide range of educational programs – including a language school and a public English-language library.
About the DAI Library:
The DAI Library is the only public English-language library in the entire region and forms the historical core of the Institute. It is a vibrant place of encounter, cultural exchange, and a love of literature – offering a diverse media collection and a varied program of events for children and adults alike.
We are looking for interns (m/f/d) year-round to support our library team for a period of three months.

- Shelving and organizing returned materials
- Working at the service desk: check-out, return, and patron support
- Assisting with the preparation and execution of library events
- Creating thematic book displays
- Creating content for our social media channels (e.g. book recommendations, announcements of new arrivals)
Your profile
- Interest in literature, culture, and library work
- Excellent command of written and spoken German
- Good English skills
- Careful, well-organized, and independent work style
- Confident use of common office software
