Jacob Weiler From Fargo, North Dakota My name is Jacob. I was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota in the USA. I come from a relatively large family, as I am the oldest of four siblings. After completing high school in Fargo, I moved to Omaha, Nebraska to continue my studies and soccer career at the University of Nebraska of Omaha. After I graduated from UNO with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education, I moved to Germany in order to continue my soccer career at a semi-pro level. I have lived in the Southwest of Germany for a little over two years. While I have since hung up my soccer shoes (for now), I am thoroughly enjoying my new life working for the DAI and living in the beautiful city of Heidelberg. My classroom philosophy is to enable children to explore social and educational themes, while developing skills that will prepare them to assume a more independent role in their lives. I hope that the development of these skills will lead to a greater success as the children enter their primary school years. When I am not teaching at the DAI, I am usually writing and listening to music in my small self-made studio. I also enjoy the many outdoor activities that Heidelberg has to offer. These include swimming, hiking, and biking through and around the city.
