Jack Logvyn From Whyalla, Australia I was born in a small town in rural Australia called Whyalla, but I have never really spent much time there. I have always been fond of traveling and experiencing new things hence why I am living in Heidelberg. Prior to living in Germany I have also lived in England, Mozambique, and Papua New Guinea. My experiences living abroad have taught me a great deal about other cultures and influenced my open-minded approach to teaching. During my high school years, teaching had always interested me; especially language. While in Mozambique, I worked voluntarily at orphanages and underprivileged schools teaching Portuguese, art, and soccer. I began teaching at the DAI language school in 2017. In addition to working in the Kindergarten and leading summer camps, I provide one-on-one lessons for primary school students and teach at the science club. I have enjoyed teaching English and I am especially looking forward to helping young minds grow creatively and linguistically. I am a huge believer in an immersive English experience for young learners. Creating a fun, engaging and creative environment is what I love to bring to work every day. In my free time I like to spend time drawing, painting, taking photos or working on computer animations. Heidelberg is a great place to relax so I also enjoy going on walks in the woods and experiencing nature.
