Record a song. Open a restaurant. Write a book. We have so many dreams within a liftime. But how many of them do we ever fulfill? All too often (apparently) rational considerations, concerns and doubts prevent us living out our dreams.
Elizabeth Gilbert tells her story and encourages us to place more store in our dreams than in our concerns and doubts. Big Magic is a declaration of love for the power of inspiration which can awaken the creativity hidden within all of us.

Elizabeth Gilbert, born in 1969, grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Connecticut. Amongst other publications, she has written for the New York Times. Gilbert found international success with her novel, “Eat Pray Love”, in which the main protagonist sets out on a trip around the world in an effort to find herself. The book was made into a film in 2010, with actress Julia Roberts starring in the main role. Times Magazine has included Gilbert in its list of the world’s one hundred most influential people.
